Since the first e-book reader device launched to the world, Kindle has showed the new way of reading book. People don’t need to bring thick and heavy books inside their bag, but all they need is a hand-sized e-book reader device. But as the market grows up, the Barnes and Noble company has been thinking about making the more fantastic and flexible e-book reader than the Kindle. Therefore they have just launched the Barnes and Noble’s Nook.
The first e-book reader device (Kindle) was released on 19 November 2007, whereas the first Barnes and Noble’s Nook e-book reader device released on 30 November 2009. It means there is a gap of 2 years between Kindle and Nook. What is the benefit of Nook that Kindle don’t have, and what is the benefit of Kindle that Nook don’t have?
The one feature that impresses people from Barnes and Noble’s Nook is their color touch screen. With the color touch screen you can easily navigate to the next or previous page with one simple finger move, and you can also turn the color touch screen into a virtual keyboard for searching. Yes, the touch screen makes it a real Kindle-killer. One nice thing is we can play audio music while reading a book without have to navigate away from the page.
Overall, Barnes and Noble’s Nook has really better features than Kindle especially the touch screen and the easier navigation because of the touch screen. But come back to the person, nothing is perfect; both Barnes and Noble’s Nook and Amazon’s Kindle has its own pros and cons.
